Statement of Faith

  1. Scripture
           We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, without error in the original languages. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice, profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Scriptures do not merely contain the Word of God, but are the very Words of God, inherently possessing His life and authority, bringing faith, revelation, and healing to those who receive (Matthew 4:4; Romans 15:4; Proverbs 4:20-22).

  2. God
           We believe in one true and eternal God, one in essence, nature, and attributes, who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19).

  3. Jesus Christ
           We believe in the full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection on the third day, His conquest over the powers of Satan, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His present ministry of intercession. We believe that He is the only way of salvation, and that through Him we receive righteousness, regeneration, sanctification, and glorification. He is, in fact, our salvation (John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 1:30-31). We also believe in His imminent and literal return in like manner as He went away (Acts 1:11).

  4. Salvation
           We believe it is essential for mankind to repent of sin and by faith receive the finished work of Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead. This results in salvation and regeneration by the Holy Spirit (Romans 10:9-13; John 3:5-6). Salvation is offered to all by God's grace but is effective only for those who believe (Ephesians 1:13). We reject the false doctrines of universalism, ultimate reconciliation, and inclusionism.

  5. The Holy Spirit
           We believe the Holy Spirit is God, coequal with the Father and the Son. He indwells believers, enabling them to live godly lives and empowering them for ministry. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, expressed through speaking in tongues, as distinct from the new birth and available to all believers by faith (Acts 2:4; Galatians 3:2). We believe all spiritual gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12 are available and operational today for the building up of the Body of Christ. We do not accept the doctrine that the gifts of the Holy Spirit have ceased.

  6. The Church
           We believe the true Church consists of all who genuinely believe in Jesus Christ and His atoning death, and who trust Him as their personal Savior and Lord. We affirm the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ as members of His body (Ephesians 4:3-6).

  7. Ordinances
           We believe in the ordinance of water baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, done in the name of Jesus (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38). We believe in the ordinance of Holy Communion as a memorial of Christ's death, celebrating His victory and proclaiming His return (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

  8. Healing
           We believe healing for the spirit, soul, and body has been provided through the atonement of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).

  9. The Second Coming and Resurrection
           We believe in the literal, physical second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is a future event and did not occur in A.D. 70 (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 1:7). At His return, those who believe will be resurrected to eternal life in an incorruptible body, while those who reject Him will join Satan in everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:46; John 5:28-29).

  10. Unity of Believers
           We believe these articles of faith are given as a foundation for unity among believers and not for judgment or division.
